PHYSIOTHERAPIST / OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, Singapore

1.1. The Therapist is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and client-centred Therapy services aimed at restoring functional abilities and promoting optimal independence. Through the application of evidence-based techniques, the role supports clients in reintegrating into the community and improving their quality of life.

1.2. The role also involves training and supporting caregivers, volunteers, and other stakeholders, as well as overseeing equipment maintenance and contributing to programme coordination.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, including assessment and providing treatment to patients with varying disabilities to maximise their functional abilities.

• Use a range of purposeful and evidence based treatment method to assist patients regain their optimum functional status or abilities.
• Ensure client safety during therapy and take responsibility for tasks delegated to healthcare and rehab support staff.
• Conduct in-service training, lectures, and clinical education for staff after attending the external courses.
• Educate caregivers to assist in intervention programmes to improve patients’ present conditions.
• Ensure proper documentation is done for all assessments and treatments rendered to the patients.
• Provide guidance to rehab support staff.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, recognized by the Singapore Allied Health Profession Council (AHPC).
• Valid practicing certificate from AHPC.
• Minimum 4 years experience preferred.
• Team player with strong communications, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Proactive and enthusiastic personality.
• Capable of working independently and under time constraints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
