System Engineer (IoT), Singapore

Job Type: Contract (Renewable basis)

• Design, implement, and maintain IoT systems integrating sensor hardware, edge devices, and backend platforms using protocols such as MQTT, REST API, AMQP, and CoAP.
• Develop and deploy backend cloud services and APIs, supporting both serverless and container-based architectures.
• Perform hardware-software integration testing, system validation, and impact analysis for system upgrades or enhancements.
• Implement system monitoring, security controls, and role-based access management to ensure reliability and data protection.
• Troubleshoot system issues, optimise performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance system functionality and user experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with IoT, sensor platforms, or edge systems in production environments.
• Hands‑on experience integrating IoT devices using protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, RS‑485, OPC‑UA, I2C, SPI, UART, or CAN.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or .NET, with experience in backend development.
• Exposure to cloud IoT platforms (AWS Greengrass, AWS IoT, Azure IoT), Docker/serverless technologies, or DevOps practices.
