Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – MEP & Data Centers, Singapore

Based In Singapore

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader and Job Captain in the performance of their duties
• Supervise the other design drafting team
• Ensure quality and accuracy of designs
• Ensure compliance with project Design Criteria/Client Brief/Approved Concept
• Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and office standards
• Attend and participate in design meetings
• Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Procedure Manual

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board.
• Entry level with some consultancy internship experience are welcome to apply
• 3 years and above design experience in consultancy firm would be advantageous
• Must have prior hands-on design experience in the design of ACMV, Fire and Hydraulic services for large scale building projects
• Experience in Rail and infrastructure projects and data centre an advantage
• Experience in designing data center projects
• Proficient in seismic design methods for building equipment.
• Experience designing base-isolated structures with isolation layer displacements exceeding 500 mm.

Additional Requirements:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be fully familiar with local and international codes
• Hands-on experience with relevant engineering software and BIM
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have a good understanding of unit costs of the MEP services in various types of projects
