Quantity Surveyor (Building Projects), Singapore

Salary: S$3,800 - S$5,000

Our Client is a Chinese-based company, specializing in building curtain walls. They are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor to support building‑related projects. This role focuses on cost management, contract administration, and claims handling, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and within budget. Candidates with strong building / construction experience and good communication skills will be highly preferred.

• Project Cost Management & Claims
  • Oversee project costing and budgeting.
  • Prepare and submit progress claims and variation orders.
  • Track project milestones and manage scope changes.
• Procurement & Subcontractor Management
  • Source, evaluate, and appoint contractors and suppliers.
  • Review and verify subcontractor claims to ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Contract & Final Account Management
  • Review contracts and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Prepare and finalize project accounts.
  • Manage subcontract documentation and related correspondence.
• Claims & Delays Support
  • Assist in preparing claims for extensions of time, cost variations, and delays.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Reporting & Coordination
  • Utilize internal systems (e.g., OA, SAP) for progress tracking and reporting.
  • Attend meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Other duties
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

• Must
  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of Quantity Surveyor experience handling building projects / consulting firm, focusing on building‑related projects.
  • Business level proficiency in both English and Chinese (with priority on listening and speaking ability) to liaise with Chinese‑speaking stakeholders.
  • Willing to work 5.5 days (alternate Saturday).
  • Experience with contract management and tender in Singapore.
