As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced executive to lead our ad sales efforts in the emerging markets of MENA, Asia, Africa and Australia to grow our ad revenue by helping advertisers and demand partners reach consumers as they engage with their Whale TVs.

Role Overview

As the head of ad sales for the company in Emerging Markets, you will be responsible for driving all ad revenue in the MENA, Asia, Africa, and Australia regions. You will work with Whale TV Ads leadership to define the ad sales strategy for the region, establish strong relationships with the key demand partners and advertisers, establish then meet or exceed revenue goals for each country in the region that has a significant Whale TV presence. You will work with colleagues in other Whale TV departments including Ad Ops, Marketing, Content Partnerships, Finance, and others to garner their support in reaching your regional revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with MENA, Asia, Africa, and Australia-based agencies, brand advertisers, and trading desks looking to advertise in the region
  • Source ad sales opportunities, create sales proposals and close deals for ad inventory sales
  • Create ad revenue forecasts, goals and targets for ad sales in those regions then regularly report on actuals vs. plan.
  • Work closely with Whale TV’s global inventory, operations, and marketing teams to tailor solutions that match client goals
  • Represent Whale TV at key ad industry events in the region
  • Provide ongoing client support, campaign insights, and upsell opportunities for regional advertisers and their agencies

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years in digital ad sales or media partnerships, with a focus on MENA, Asia, Africa, Australia markets
  • Proven track record of hitting revenue targets in advertising sales
  • Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, CTV/OTT, and media selling
  • Self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently and across time zones
  • Fluent in English, Chinese and other language experience a plus
