Baptist MD Anderson located in beautiful Northeast Florida is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our distinguished cancer medicine faculty. Baptist MD Anderson brings an unprecedented level of oncology care to Northeast Florida and provides physicians an appealing blend of community focused patient care and the benefit of an academic‑oriented model.

• The APP will be an integral part of the Section of Head and Neck Surgery and help manage and facilitate care for patients throughout the entire spectrum of care: outpatient clinic, inpatient floor, operative rooms, and on‑call (shared with others on the service).
• Importantly, the APP will have significant autonomy in managing patients and performing procedures both in the outpatient clinic setting and also in the ORs.
• Inpatient: The APP is responsible for independent rounding on patients in the acute postoperative phase who are admitted to the hospital, postoperative wound care and pain management, timely collaboration with consulting physicians, coordinating discharge from the hospital, and evaluation of new consults.
• OR: As surgical first‑assist, the APP will assist in open head & neck, endoscopic, microvascular reconstruction, and robotic surgical cases and post‑operative management.
• Outpatient: With sufficient growth and experience, the APP will have their own independent clinic with autonomy. The APP will evaluate new and existing patients in the pre‑ and postoperative phases, in collaboration with staff physicians and multidisciplinary team, complete outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, perform clinic procedures as applicable. Procedures include wound care, skin closures, and laryngoscopy.
• Hours: Monday – Friday + On‑Call.
• On‑Call: Shared night and weekend call: home call for head and neck service during the week, and weekend call with inpatient rounding as well as OR coverage for stat or emergency cases.
