Plant Biotechnologist (Gene Editing & Molecular Research) #HDC, Singapore

• Execute plant biotechnology research protocols with precision, ensuring consistency and integrity of experimental outcomes
• Support the development and optimisation of gene editing and plant transformation workflows
• Conduct laboratory work including plant tissue culture, molecular biology techniques, and sample preparation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date experimental records in line with research and compliance standards
• Monitor experimental progress, identify issues, and provide constructive feedback to improve protocols
• Collaborate with scientists and research team members to support ongoing and new projects
• Manage multiple experiments and tasks across different stages of completion
• Assist with general laboratory operations, including equipment upkeep, inventory management, and reagent preparation

• Plant tissue culture and transformation techniques
• Molecular biology methods such as PCR, qPCR, and gel electrophoresis
• Operation of laboratory equipment including centrifuges, microscopes, and particle delivery systems
• Preparation of buffers, reagents, and chemical solutions
• High-throughput sample processing and sequencing preparation

• Degree in Plant Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline
• Strong hands‑on laboratory experience in molecular biology or plant biotechnology
• High attention to detail in both experimental execution and documentation
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and execute laboratory protocols effectively
• Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities in a research setting
• Collaborative mindset with good communication skills
