Mechanical Design Engineer (Senior / Lead) Responsibilities

Perform design verification and validation testing to ensure compliance with specifications, safety regulations, and product requirements
Define technical requirements and features for semiconductor and automation equipment
Develop concepts, architecture, and detailed design of new machinery
Design mechanical systems involving motors, actuators, gear drives, pumps, and valves
Produce detailed engineering drawings using 3D CAD software, incorporating GD&T principles
Improve and upgrade legacy machine designs for enhanced performance and reliability
Apply analysis tools such as Fishbone Diagrams and FMEA to assess design risks and optimize solutions
Troubleshoot mechanical and automation equipment, providing practical solutions and improvements

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
3+ years of experience in automation or semiconductor equipment design
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- Design of automation or semiconductor equipment
- High-precision machine design
- High-speed pick-and-place mechanisms
Proficiency with 3D CAD software and ability to produce detailed mechanical drawings
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and automation systems
Ability to work independently with high motivation
Confident communicator capable of liaising with all levels of the organization
