HV/MV Electrical Project Engineer (Switchgear / Commissioning), Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate HV/MV switchgear and transformer projects from engineering through commissioning and handover.
• Review and manage technical deliverables including single line diagrams, drawings, wiring diagrams, protection interface drawings, and datasheets.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between switchgear, protection relays, SCADA/RTU, and auxiliary systems.
• Review OEM documents for compliance with project specifications, IEC standards, and applicable Singapore utility requirements.
• Support technical clarifications with clients, consultants, and OEMs during design and execution stages.
• Provide technical input for procurement, including evaluation of offers, review of deviations, scope clarification, and spares and warranty requirements.
• Support site installation activities including equipment erection, busbar installation, cabling, control wiring, and terminations.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, and quality records.
• Coordinate and support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities to ensure energization readiness.
• Prepare and close out project documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, O&M manuals, and handover records.
• Support compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, safety regulations, and site rules.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through development of standards, templates, and lessons learned.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical infrastructure projects involving HV/MV switchgear.
• Exposure to 6.6kV, 22kV, 66kV, 230kV, or 400kV transformer and switchgear systems (AIS/GIS).
• Experience supporting installation, testing, and commissioning activities in Singapore is an added advantage.
• Good working knowledge of HV/MV switchgear systems, drawings, and OEM documentation.
• Familiarity with FAT, SAT, and commissioning readiness requirements.
