Functional Safety Engineer (Lidar), Singapore

Location: 60 Paya Lebar Road, #09-10 Paya Lebar Square, Singapore (R&D Centre & Manufacturing Hub)

• Conduct the full process of functional safety requirements, design, and assessment based on the functional specifications of the intelligent driving system and industrial safety requirements;
• Implement functional safety analyses (FTA, DFA, FMEA, FMEDA, etc.) for automotive-grade products and in the robotics field;
• Implement and improve functional safety mechanisms;
• Handle functional safety-related certification processes and assist third‑party organizations in obtaining product certification;
• Coordinate with clients regarding functional safety requirements.

• Master’s degree or higher in a STEM field such as Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation and Control, or Integrated Circuits;
• Familiarity with embedded software and hardware system development; understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 and product development processes; proficiency in applying common safety mechanisms in functional safety design; at least 2 years of relevant work experience;
• Proficient in various functional safety analysis methods (FTA, DFA, FMEA, and FMEDA, etc.);
• English proficiency at a working level with fluent spoken communication; experience studying or working abroad is highly preferred;
• Strong ambition and curiosity, excellent learning ability, communication and coordination skills, and a sense of responsibility; good teamwork spirit, meticulous and detail‑oriented; and a strong interest in the automotive industry and functional safety work.
