Centre of power engineering is a world-leading research center in electric power engineering, driving research excellence and innovation towards a sustainable, reliable and low-carbon energy future.Our centre is seeking to hire a motivated research fellow to conduct advanced research on power engineering. The position will focus on cutting-edge research, dissemination of findings, and translation into industry applications.**Key Responsibilities:*** Conduct research on packaging design and integration for power electronic devices, including mechanism analysis, electrothermal modeling, and structural design to enhance device performance and capability.* Perform software & hardware validation using simulation tools and converter experiments.* Publish research findings in top-tier IEEE journals and present at leading conferences.* Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions for improving the reliability of power electronic devices.**Job Requirements:*** PhD degree in electrical engineering or related field* Strong knowledge of power electronics, packaging and integration, and device materials* Excellent written and oral communication skills* Proficiency in programming, software simulation for multi-physics, and conducting hardware experiments* Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.* A strong background in packaging design and integration of power devices is a distinct advantage.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N).Ranked amongst the world’s top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world’s top young university for the past seven years.
