Processing Officer and Application Support Specialist, LSRA, Singapore

You will be part of a team of officers in the Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA) under Ministry of Law, which licenses and regulates law firms and registers foreign lawyers in Singapore.

(a) Assess and make recommendations on law firms’ applications for a law practice licence or register their lawyers, as well as assist them with their queries. May also be required to assist in research projects (including the compilation and analysis of data), and investigate incidents of non‑compliance with our regulations and licence conditions.

(b) Provide technical support to end users on a variety of systems and applications, including troubleshooting and resolving software application problems from business users, recommending solutions to meet users' business needs.

• Key Competencies Required:
  • Deep Critical Thinking: Distill critical issues and sense‑make from a wide range of information, arriving at effective policy solutions
  • Clear and Concise Writing: Crystalise core issues via clear and concise writing
  • Customer Service and Case Management: Effectively deliver services, coordinate and manage service cases, from the start of service requests to their resolution, including resolving service challenges and performing service recovery where needed
• Qualifications / Work Experience / Personal Traits:
  • A diploma in law with basic IT competency (in Excel) would be an advantage. Applicants with academic training in other disciplines are also welcome to apply.
  • Prior work experience in law firms, or paralegal work experience, would be a plus.
  • You should be a motivated and detail‑oriented team player with a sense of responsibility and initiative, good oral and written communication skills, and possess the ability to provide excellent customer services.
• Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1‑year contract, in the first instance.
