Leather Die Cutting Mold Usage Guide
1. Preparation
Materials & Board
Lay flat leather slightly larger than the die shape. Prepare soft cutting mat (nylon / PVC / high-density rubber) to protect the blade.
Die Inspection
Check the blade is sharp, no rust or crack. Keep the ejection sponge inside the die slightly higher than the blade for easy material release.
2. Manual Hammer Cutting (No Machine)
Suitable for thin leather & small batch production.
Place leather face down on the cutting mat.
Put the cutting die blade-side down and align the position.
Use a rubber/nylon mallet to hit the die evenly and vertically until the leather is fully cut through.
Pry the die slightly and take out the finished piece.
3. Press / Hydraulic Cutting Machine
Suitable for thick leather & mass production.
Place the cutting mat flat on the workbench.
Lay leather smoothly without folding.
Align the die on the leather, press down the machine slowly and steadily for one-step cutting.
Lift the press and take out finished parts and waste.
4. Tips & Notes
Always use a soft mat to avoid blade damage.
Thin leather: manual cutting; thick leather: use hydraulic machine.
Never touch the sharp blade directly.
Clean the die after use, keep dry and apply anti-rust oil.
