Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Legal Leadership
Lead and oversee all legal matters across APAC jurisdictions.
Provide strategic legal advice to regional executives and senior management.
Align regional legal strategy with global corporate governance frameworks.
Serve as a trusted advisor on business expansion, restructuring, and strategic initiatives.
2. Commercial & Corporate Legal Support
Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including: Customer and supplier contracts
Strategic partnerships and joint ventures
Logistics, technology, and service agreements
Support mergers & acquisitions, investments, and corporate restructuring activities.
Advise on cross-border transactions and regional legal implications.
3. Compliance, Risk & Governance
Establish and maintain robust compliance and governance frameworks.
Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations across APAC markets.
Oversee ethics, anti-bribery, data protection, and regulatory compliance programs.
Manage legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
4. Litigation & Dispute Management
Oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters.
Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
Develop dispute prevention strategies and settlement approaches.
5. Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
Act as key liaison between APAC leadership and Global Legal function.
Advise Board committees and senior executives on legal exposure.
Support crisis management and reputational risk matters.
6. Team Leadership
Lead and develop regional legal teams and country counsel.
Manage legal budgets and external counsel spend.
Drive legal operations efficiency and digital transformation initiatives.
