Job Summary We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Deputy Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing commercial and contractual matters across projects. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team to oversee commercial and operational matters, ensuring alignment with project objectives and business goals. Conduct detailed evaluations, apply value engineering techniques, and negotiate cost and scope for procurement to recommend contract awards that optimize project value. Administer contracts by providing clear, actionable contractual advice and resolving contractual issues promptly to minimize project risks. Evaluate and certify Main Contract and Sub-Contract progress claims, variation claims, payments, and finalize account settlements to ensure accurate financial tracking. Monitor and manage project cash flow, budgeting, and cost control to maintain financial health and project profitability. Collaborate closely with Project Teams, Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve commercial challenges effectively. Required competencies and certifications Recognized Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Proficiency in industry contractual practices and familiarity with standard contract forms such as REDAS, SIA, and PSSCOC. Minimum of 10 years' relevant working experience, including at least 5 years with a Main Contractor. Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience in residential, commercial, and/or institutional projects.
