Electronic Technician Job Function Maintains, repairs, and installs electronic equipment used for
patient care, hospital operations, and patient entertainment , including TVs, biomedical devices, and facility electronics, ensuring compliance with healthcare safety and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and troubleshoot
hospital TVs and patient entertainment systems Repair and maintain
medical electronic equipment
(monitors, infusion pumps, diagnostic devices) Test and service
control panels, power supplies, sensors, and electronic circuits Connect and configure TVs to
hospital networks, IPTV systems, or set-top boxes Perform preventive maintenance on both
medical and non-medical electronics Maintain service logs, reports, and documentation for compliance and audits Coordinate with hospital IT, nursing, and facilities teams to minimize disruption Follow strict
electrical safety and infection control procedures Technical Skills Knowledge of
LED/LCD/Smart TVs and AV systems Familiarity with
biomedical electronic devices
(optional certification can help) Proficiency with
electronic testing tools
(multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering tools) Basic networking skills for IPTV, LAN, or Wi-Fi connections Ability to read
