Roles & Responsibilities The role is to be accountable at the regional level as Director of Business Development for the Asia regional affiliates. This includes finding and contracting with Joint Venture development partners, financing non-recourse debt, farming down Group equity, and helping to build the processes and systems that will enable the development platform to be efficient and successful. Ensure strong project economics and safe project development. Build a Business Development team to cover the various functions as the department develops. To work with Metro to put in place competitive project finance once projects are built and the necessary scale is reached. To then ensure that the administrative processes to support the financing are maintained effectively To work with Metro to put in find and transact to farm down competitive economics of projects once operational. To then ensure that the administrative processes to support the equity partner are effectively maintained To effectively work in the network of Total in-country teams, regulatory bodies, Business customers and business groups, and financing institutions. To represent and protect Group interests. To fully understand and operate Metro and Group investment decisions, compliance, and financial rules / delegated authorities. At the start of the role there is nothing in place and all has to be set up. Through the development of the role to begin to scale the business and implement the necessary automation and efficiencies needed as scale developed. The affiliate operates in a very competitive environment and strategies and actions need to be implemented constantly to drive competitivity. Experience & Qualifications Must have experience in capital investment decision-making, Proven ability to operate effectively with autonomy. Experience with tendering processes. Commercial skills - the ability to negotiate contracts with all levels of counterparty business. Understanding of risk (Hotel Operations ) and ability to provide solutions to mitigate Knowledge of Group processes for compliance and operation Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent Minimum of 10 years in sales at a capital markets or investment management organization
