Description
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all soil testing activities within the company. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of geotechnical testing, and excellent client management skills. The Operations Manager will ensure that testing schedules are met, resources are effectively allocated, and quality standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly soil testing schedules.
Assign testing tasks to technicians and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate site and laboratory testing activities to optimize resource utilization.
Client Coordination Liaise with clients to schedule soil testing works in line with project requirements.
Attend client meetings to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction.
Prepare and submit reports and documentation as required.
Technical Oversight Supervise and, when necessary, personally carry out field tests such as Plate Load Tests, Field Dry Density Tests, and other geotechnical investigations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
Review and approve test results before submission to clients.
Team Management Lead, train, and mentor technicians to maintain high standards of performance.
Monitor manpower allocation and adjust resources to meet project demands.
Ensure adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
Quality & Compliance Implement quality assurance measures for all soil testing activities.
Ensure proper documentation and record‑keeping of test results.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities when required.
