Psychology and religion have two different meanings even though both have the same study aspect, namely the inner aspect of humans. Religious psychology is a branch of psychology that examines and studies human behavior in relationships with the influence of belief in the religion it adheres to and its relationship with the development of each age. Efforts to learn religious behavior are carried out through a psychological approach. So this reason is an empirical study.
Religious psychology does not investigate the molecular teachings, the basics of religion and does not focus on justifying or blaming the meaning in religion. What is the object and field of religious psychology involves the symptoms of psychology in relation to religious reality (amaliah) and the mechanism between the two. In other words, borrowing the term Zakiah Daradjat, religious psychology discusses religious awareness and religious experience. As an autonomous scientific discipline, religious psychology has its own scope of discussion which is differentiated from scientific disciplines studying other religious issues.
