Job Summary Support the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and welfare standards on construction projects, conducting inspections, investigations, and risk assessments to maintain a safe work environment. Responsibilities Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare compliance to meet statutory and aerodrome safety standards Execute health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants to support safety management efforts Prepare and submit daily situation reports to track project safety status Conduct daily site inspections for health, safety, and environmental compliance, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with Project Safety Team and contractors Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and consistently follow all safety procedures Implement and monitor safety measures aligned with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Safety Management System requirements Identify and report training or certification needs to comply with legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance Required competencies and certifications Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM (mandatory) Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably 2 years with a developer or main contractor Experience developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
