Sarracenia purpurea, carnivorous plant, Sembawang

Sarracenia purpurea is a carnivorous plant, that produces pitchers that secrete nectar that attracts insects. Unfortunately, this is bad news for the insects though, as the plant then goes on to digest their remains.

Sunlight: Bright filtered or direct sunlight

Water: 2 – 3 times a week

Fertiliser: Recommend slow release nitricote or Aquis organic lactobacilus fertilizer.

Pot Type: Plant comes in a plastic /ceramic pot with drainage hole.
